On Monday 23rd March 2020 the United Kingdom went into lockdown because of Covid-19 and the coronavirus pandemic. Gavin decided to keep on playing his regular Tuesday and Saturday night gigs - the only difference is that he played from a small wooden summer house in his garden. The shows are filmed by webcam, and are broadcast simultaneously across the globe on Facebook Live.

Gavin’s live face-to-face gigs have now started up again, but he has decided to keep the online gigs going once a week. To take part in these events (every Tuesday evening from 20.00 GMT) just tune in to Gavin’s Facebook page. Songs From The Summer House are all interactive music nights, and you will be able to message Gavin live during the shows to make song requests and comments etc. So far these gigs have brought together a gloriously international audience, with people tuning in live from Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Egypt, Brazil, India, Sweden, Denmark, Brazil, South Africa, Spain, Cyprus, Italy, France, Germany, and throughout the UK.

SUMMER HOUSE REQUEST LIST

On Tuesday 9th August 2022 Gavin played the TWO HUNDRETH episode of these on-line gigs from his Summer House, and they continue as strong as ever. He has now performed nearly 4000 songs from a request list of over 400. You can see a list of all the songs Gavin has played here.

There is an online tip jar, so if you fancy throwing a few coins into the hat you can do so here.

This is a montage of clips from the first 25 shows that Gavin has played in the summer house.

Gavin was interviewed recently by Matt Pinches from the Guildford Shakespeare Company as part of their set of ‘Green Room’ podcasts. They chatted about Gavin’s early days in music, and the evolution of the GT Live Sessions, and the Songs From The Summer House gigs. You can listen to the podcast here.
