THE GOLDRUSH were a three-part harmony trio brought together by a shared affection for the Californian music scene of the early seventies. The line-up consisted of ROB BLACKHAM on vocals, guitar & mandolin, CAMERON MESSER on vocals & guitar, and GAVIN THOMAS on vocals, guitar & harmonica. But THE GOLDRUSH, christened after Neil Young’s acclaimed 1970 album, was much more than the sum of its individual parts.

With the boys' love of chiming acoustic guitars, vocal harmonies and the acoustic LA/Laurel Canyon ethos of the late sixties and early seventies, it came as no surprise that THE GOLDRUSH's crowd-pleasing live set consisted primarily of songs from the first two Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young albums.

THE GOLDRUSH played critically acclaimed sets at the GUILFEST and WEYFEST festivals in both 2009 and 2010, and played their last ever gig at The Compasses Inn in January 2011.
